Super Eagles and Fenerbahçe defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel, along with some of his teammates, will face a disciplinary panel following a pitch invasion incident that occurred in March.
The Turkish Football Federation has summoned Osayi-Samuel and two other players for a disciplinary hearing after a confrontation with Trabzonspor fans who invaded the pitch to attack them following their team’s 3-2 loss.
The attack happened after the Fenerbahce players and coaching staff celebrated their victory, with the visitor's goalkeeper, Dominik Livakovic, being punched in the face by a fan of Trabzonspor.
According to the Turkish FA's disciplinary committee, players involved in the altercation could face bans of three to five matches.
Osayi-Samuel, 26, was captured in a viral video punching one of the supporters who ran onto the pitch, while Dutch defender Jayden Oosterwolde was accused of kicking the same fan.
Michi Batshuayi will also appear before the disciplinary body for kicking at another fan as opposition fans swarmed the visitors after the game. Additionally, two club employees will face the committee for their involvement in the incident, along with a Trabzonspor assistant coach.
Thirteen Trabzonspor supporters have been arrested, with five placed in pre-trial detention.
