Elon Musk Tops Forbes' List as Richest Person in Global Automobile Industry


Forbes has named Elon Musk as the richest person in the global automobile industry, with a net worth of $189.2 billion. Musk, the CEO of Tesla, holds a 12 per cent ownership stake in the company.


Stefan Quandt, a German billionaire, takes the second spot with a net worth of $28.2 billion. He amassed his wealth through a 23.6 per cent ownership of BMW and serves as the deputy chairman on BMW's supervisory board alongside his sister, Susanne Klatten.


Robin Zeng, a Chinese businessman and the founder/chairman of CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology), is the third richest person in the global automobile industry with a net worth of $28 billion.


Susanne Klatten, the richest woman in Germany, is worth $27.2 billion and holds about 19 per cent ownership in BMW, making her the fourth richest billionaire in the automobile industry.


Eric Li, also known as Li Shufu, is a Chinese venture capitalist, political scientist, and chairman of Geely Automobile Holding. With a net worth of $18.6 billion, he is ranked as the fourth richest person in the automobile industry.
