Why I featured Wizkid on my new album – Asa

Paris born Nigerian singer, Bukola Elemide popularly known as Aṣa, has revealed why she featured Grammy Award winner Wizkid on her latest album V.

Both artists collaborated on a track titled ‘IDG’ (I don’t go) and Asa explained that the main reason she decided to work with Wizkid was because of the natural chemistry between them.

“With Wizkid, there’s a friendship. Before the music, we sit down, have a drink, and just talk about all kinds of things— animals and normal things about his life,” she said.

“I thought it (the song) would be great with Wizkid because it fits his temperament, so I sent it to him and he loved it. It was natural.

 

“Before we do a song, I want it to be honest. We should have a connection with all these collaborators (on the album), that was what we did.”
