Renowned comedian and actress Helen Paul shared an intriguing anecdote about her past on

The Honest Bunch Podcast, co-hosted by actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, aka Nedu. 

Helen recalled a time when her former boss and HR manager at her workplace attempted to dissuade her now-husband, Femi Bamisele, from dating or marrying her.

In a recent interview, Helen revealed that her boss went so far as to call her husband and express reservations about their relationship, suggesting that Femi deserved someone better and implying that if he wanted a casual relationship, that would be acceptable. 

Similarly, her HR manager commented on Femi's clean and professional appearance, questioning why he would choose to be involved with someone like Helen.

This revelation sparked discussions on social media, with many sharing their own experiences of facing judgment and interference in their relationships. Despite the challenges, Helen Paul, who married Femi Bamisele in 2010 and is now a mother of two sons, has overcome adversity throughout her life, turning her experiences into a source of empowerment.
