Jada Pinkett Smith has once again discussed her future with her estranged husband, Will Smith, following her recent revelation that
they've been secretly separated since 2016, as disclosed in her memoir, "Worthy."During an appearance on Tuesday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, the host remarked that it seemed like Jada and Will were planning on "staying together forever." Jada responded, "We're staying together forever. I tried. We tried," alluding to the years-long separation that they kept private.
Jada emphasized that she is "not leaving Will's side," and he is "not going to leave" hers.
In October, Jada shared that she decided to stay by Will's side after he slapped Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards in 2022. She described the intense situation as amplifying their love and bringing them closer.
Jada clarified that she and Will have chosen a non-traditional way of being together, deciding on a relationship that fits their desires. While they had a separation, the Oscars incident marked a turning point, putting them on a different trajectory.
In her memoir, Jada detailed how the dynamics of their marriage changed after the Oscars, a moment she hadn't anticipated. Despite the challenges, she expressed her commitment to always be by Will's side, emphasizing the deepening of their relationship beyond romance and typical marital complexities.
She reflected, "I'm always going to be by his side, no matter what."
