The lifeless body of Debora Michels, a popular fitness influencer, was discovered outside her parents' house in Brazil after an alleged heated argument with her husband led to her death.
The 30-year-old, known as Deby, was found on a pavement in Montenegro, Rio Grande do Sul, on January 26. Her husband, Alexander Gunsch, reportedly told the police that a heated argument turned physical, and he grabbed Deby around her neck, throwing her against a wardrobe.
He claimed that she started feeling sick and lost consciousness. Gunsch took her to the hospital but, realizing she was dead, left her on the pavement. CCTV footage captured him removing her body from his car and placing it on the pavement.
Gunsch has been remanded in custody, and the police are treating the case as femicide. Deby's funeral took place on January 27. Her brother revealed that she had wanted to leave Gunsch before the tragedy.
