The Nasarawa State government has allocated a total of N500 million in the 2024 budget for the procurement of electricity equipment and closed-circuit televisions (CCTV) in Lafia and its surrounding areas.
The decision was made to address the ongoing challenges of kidnapping, banditry, and armed robbery in the state. The amount designated for the CCTV project was disclosed by Mrs. Munirah Abdullahi, the Commissioner of Finance, Budget, and Planning, during a press briefing in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State, as she provided a breakdown of the 2024 appropriation bill named "Budget of Renewed Commitment."
