Manchester United has officially named Omar Berrada as the club's new chief executive, following his departure from Manchester City. Berrada, who served as chief football operations officer at City Football Group, resigned from his position shortly before joining United.
The appointment, reportedly led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and approved by the Glazers, aims to prioritize football and on-field performance at the heart of the club's operations. Berrada, an experienced football executive, is expected to bring both football and commercial expertise to the role.
His appointment aligns with United's ambition to re-establish itself as a title-winning club. The start date for Berrada will be confirmed later, with Patrick Stewart continuing as interim CEO in the meantime.
