Renowned Nigerian singer and songwriter, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, professionally known as Tiwa Savage, has formally lodged a complaint against Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, citing an alleged threat to her safety.
In an official petition directed to Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fayoade Adegoke, now circulating online, Savage details an incident where the acclaimed 'Unavailable' artist purportedly issued threats in response to a social media post she shared.
Tiwa has implored the police commissioner to hold Davido accountable for any potential harm, asserting that she sought warnings through mutual connections. The disagreement appears to stem from Tiwa Savage's association with Sophia Momodu, Davido's estranged baby mama. The conflict escalated after Tiwa's Instagram post featuring herself and Sophia Momodu, drawing objection from Davido, who accused her of taunting and using derogatory language.
The petition states, "I am writing to bring to your attention a distressing situation involving myself, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, popularly known as Tiwa Savage, and Mr David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido."
Tiwa narrates Davido's warning messages and accuses him of alleging disrespectful behavior. She emphasizes their previous friendship, including her support during his challenges. Tiwa concludes by expressing concerns about online and offline harassment, holding Davido responsible for any harm to her or her family.
