President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of a new four-person management team for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), pending their confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. The appointees are Gbenga Alade as Managing Director/CEO, Aminu Ismail as Executive Director, Adeshola Lamidi as Executive Director, and Lucky Adaghe as Executive Director.
In a statement released by presidential spokesperson Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu emphasized the importance of unflagging dedication, professionalism, and dutifulness from the new appointees to ensure that AMCON's operations are more efficient, transparent, and in line with his commitment to sanitizing the nation's financial system, maximizing value, and enhancing investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.
President Tinubu also approved the appointment of qualified Nigerians to serve in three agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy. The appointees include Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner, Technical Services; Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management; and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO, Digital Bridge Institute for the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
For the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Abiodun Attah was appointed as Executive Director, Technical Services; Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director, Finance & Administration; and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director, Marketing & Business Development.
President Tinubu expressed hope that the seasoned professionals in these reconstituted management teams will deliver excellent service to elevate the impact of the digital economy sector on the socio-economic development of the nation.
