Stormy Daniels, the American porn star, expressed her readiness to testify during Donald Trump's upcoming hush-money criminal trial, as she desires to confront the former president face-to-face once again.
During an appearance on The View, the 44-year-old former adult entertainer stated, 'I'm absolutely ready. I've been ready,' when questioned about the case involving an alleged payment by Trump to silence her before the 2016 presidential elections. She emphasized her eagerness to speak for herself, as demonstrated during her testimony against Michael Avenatti, expressing her desire to face Trump and 'speak my truth.'
This development follows Manhattan Justice Juan Merchan's ruling that Daniels, along with former Playboy model Karen McDougal and attorney Michael Cohen, could testify in the upcoming documents falsification case.
Daniels appeared on The View to promote her new documentary Stormy, which delves into her life after her alleged affair with Trump became public. She clarified that she did not receive payment for appearing in the documentary, rebutting claims of being a gold digger and stating that speaking out has not financially benefited her.
Discussing the threats she has received, Daniels noted a shift in tone from Trump supporters, describing them as more akin to 'suicide bombers' who believe they are being patriotic. She also addressed her working relationship with Michael Avenatti, stating that she never trusted him and was never alone with him.
When questioned about why she chose to work with Avenatti, Daniels explained that no one else was willing to take her case due to its association with the adult film industry or reluctance to go against Trump. She expressed sadness over Avenatti's downfall, describing him as a brilliant man who chose to use his talents for 'evil.'
