Cassie's Lawyer Comments on Diddy's Home Raid Amid Sex Trafficking Claims

Douglas Wigdor, the lawyer representing singer Cassie, has issued a statement regarding the recent raid on Diddy's home by federal agents in response to sex trafficking claims.

In the statement reported by Rolling Stone's Nancy Dillon, Wigdor expressed support for law enforcement's actions, stating, "We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law." He added, "Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct."

Last year, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of rape, sex trafficking, and physical abuse during their relationship. The lawsuit prompted other women to come forward with similar allegations.

Surprisingly, the lawsuit was settled within a day. While the terms of the settlement were not disclosed, Cassie's lawyer had previously stated that Diddy offered her "eight figures" (between $10 million and $99.9 million) to prevent her from filing the lawsuit. Diddy's lawyer, on the other hand, claimed Cassie demanded $30 million while threatening to write a book about their relationship.

Following the settlement, Cassie's legal team released a statement saying, "This evening, Ms. Ventura and Mr. Combs resolved the claims that she filed against him yesterday...to their mutual satisfaction." Diddy also released a statement, saying, "We have decided to resolve this matter amicably," and wishing Cassie and her family the best.
