Zenith Bank has announced the appointment of Dame Adaora Umeoji as its new Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (GMD/CEO), subject to the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria. Her appointment, effective from June 1, 2024, comes as Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu's five-year term expires on May 31, 2024.

Prior to her appointment as GMD/CEO, Umeoji served as the bank's Deputy Managing Director since October 28, 2016. She brings to the role about 30 years of banking experience, with 26 of those years spent at Zenith Bank.
