Former President Donald Trump is now promoting the "God Bless The USA Bible" on his Truth Social platform as he seeks to return to the White House. In a video posted on Tuesday, March 26, Trump urged his supporters to purchase the Bible, which is inspired by country singer Lee Greenwood's patriotic ballad "God Bless the USA."
Trump, a presumptive Republican nominee, often plays Greenwood's song at his rallies and has appeared with Greenwood at events. In his video message, Trump encouraged his supporters to buy the Bible for $59.99, directing them to a website selling the book.
The promotion of the Bible comes as Trump faces financial challenges due to mounting legal bills from fighting four criminal indictments and several civil charges. A New York appeals court recently granted Trump a reprieve by agreeing to hold off on collecting the more than $454 million he owes following a civil fraud judgment if he puts up $175 million within 10 days.
In the video, Trump emphasized the importance of having a Bible in every home, calling it his favorite book. The "God Bless The USA Bible" includes a King James Version translation and copies of the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence, and the Pledge of Allegiance. It also features a handwritten chorus of Greenwood's famous song.
This venture is the latest in a series of commercial ventures that Trump has pursued while campaigning, including launching a line of Trump-branded sneakers and dabbling in NFTs.
