Cape Town International Airport Named Best Airport in Africa for 2024 by Skytrax

 


Skytrax, a UK-based airline and airport review and ranking site, has recognized Cape Town International Airport in South Africa as the best airport in Africa for 2024.


The award follows a survey conducted by Skytrax from August 2023 to March 2024, where respondents from over 100 nationalities evaluated various aspects of airports, including check-in, arrivals, transfers, shopping, security, and immigration.


Cape Town airport was also acknowledged for having the 'Best airport staff service in Africa.' Durban King Shaka Airport secured second place and received an additional award for being the 'Best regional airport in Africa.'


Johannesburg's Tambo International Airport claimed the third spot, followed by Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, Morocco, in fourth place.


Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport in Mauritius ranked fifth, while Menara Airport in Marrakesh, Morocco, took sixth place.


Bole International Airport in Addis Ababa, the hub of Ethiopian Airlines, was seventh, and Kigali International Airport in Rwanda was eighth.


Cairo International Airport in Egypt came in ninth, with Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya, rounding out the top ten.


The rankings highlight the excellence and service quality of these African airports, as recognized by passengers and travelers from around the world.
