Harry Styles' Stalker Jailed and Banned from His Performances

Myra Carvalho, 35, has been sentenced to 14 weeks in prison and banned from attending any event where Harry Styles is performing after stalking the singer by sending him 8,000 cards in less than a month.

Carvalho, who pleaded guilty to stalking involving serious alarm or distress, was also issued a restraining order lasting for 10 years, prohibiting her from contacting Styles directly or indirectly.

Additionally, she has been barred from entering an area of northwest London, as specified by the court. Carvalho was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £134.

The overzealous fan, who had been staying at a backpacker hostel in Kensington and Chelsea, southwest London, expressed 'sexual urges' towards the 30-year-old singer, the court heard.

Styles was reportedly left 'shaken' by Carvalho's actions, especially since they occurred shortly after he had returned from a vacation. The singer, who had been in Anguilla with his girlfriend Taylor Russell and James Corden, was said to be concerned but wanted to continue as normal.

Carvalho's case was sent to the same court for further hearing on April 19, as she was remanded in custody. Her barrister had previously raised concerns about her mental state, suggesting she might be experiencing a 'manic episode'.

This incident is not the first time Styles has been targeted by a stalker. In 2022, he was harassed by Diana Tarazaga-Orero, 29, who forced her way into his home. Styles had to upgrade his security measures, including hiring a night guard and installing a panic lock on his bedroom door.
