Paul travelled out of the village and got a job almost immediately at a factory because of his hardworking nature. Lola and Paul only communicate through letters once in a month, after sometime she stop receiving letters from her husband.
The pressure from her husband's brother became huge after her husband left for the city. He complains about every thing she does and even her not having a female child for his brother. Lola and James fought on different occasions using dangerous items on themselves.
After three years of waiting for her husband return and lot of trouble from her In-laws, she decided to relocate to her sister's place with her two sons.
After a year, Paul arrived from the city with the hope of meeting his family at home. When he arrived James told him the wife left with the kids to her sister’s place. Paul decided to go look for his family, Lola and her children were happy to see their father, then they both decided to leave Lola's Sister place and relocate to Lagos to start afresh.
They moved to Lagos and things started going well for them, Paul started cloths business with his wife by his side to assist him. They started living happily like they have always planned to be without any interference, In no time Lola conceived again and she delivered of a bouncing baby boy.Paul’s family refused to attend the baby's christening but Lola's family were their to grace the occasion.
