 American hip-hop legend, Snoop Dogg, has recently announced his decision to quit smoking, a significant shift in his lifestyle.

The 52-year-old rapper, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., revealed this major change during an exclusive preview of Martha Stewart's iHeartRadio podcast. 

He started smoking at the age of 18 but cited thoughtful consideration and discussions with his family as the driving forces behind this decision. 

Taking to his X account on Thursday, Snoop Dogg emphasized the importance of respecting his privacy during this transition, stating, 

"After much consideration and conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoke. Please respect my privacy at this time."
