Boxing Legend Muhammad Ali to be Posthumously Inducted into WWE Hall of Fame

The late boxing legend Muhammad Ali, who passed away in 2016 at the age of 74, is set to be posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Ali, widely regarded as the greatest heavyweight boxer of all time, will be honored by World Wrestling Entertainment during its 25th ceremony later this year.

In a statement, WWE praised Ali's influence, stating, "Known simply as 'The Greatest,' Ali's influence transcended sports as his work as an activist, artist, and personality established him as one of the most renowned figures in the entire world."

During his career, Ali competed in 'The War of the Worlds' WWE match against Antonio Inoki and served as a special guest referee in the WrestleMania I main event in 1985.

Muhammad Ali is the only celebrity named for induction this year, following previous stars like Donald Trump, Mike Tyson, and William Shatner. The induction ceremony is scheduled to take place on April 5 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, with Muhammad's widow, Lonnie Ali, scheduled to speak at the event.
