Cristiano Ronaldo's 50th Goal Secures Al Nassr's Victory over Al Ahli

Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 50th goal for Al Nassr, securing a crucial 1-0 win over Al Ahli and solidifying their position in second place in the Saudi Pro League. The match, held on Friday, saw the five-time Ballon d'Or winner convert a penalty in the 68th minute following a VAR review that resulted in a foul being awarded to Al Nassr.

Ronaldo's milestone goal comes in his 58th appearance for Al Nassr across various competitions, including the Saudi Pro League, Asian Champions League, King's Cup, Super Cup, and Arab Club Champions Cup. The Portuguese star joined Al Nassr in late 2022 after leaving Manchester United.

Although Ronaldo thought he had opened the scoring earlier in the first half, his goal was disallowed for offside. Similarly, former Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino's goal for Al Ahli was also ruled out for offside.

The victory marked the end of a disappointing spell for Al Nassr, who had fallen behind Saudi Pro League leaders Al Hilal and were eliminated from the Asian Champions League by Al Ain earlier in the week.

Al Nassr currently trails Al Hilal by nine points, having played one more game. Al Ahli, on the other hand, sits nine points behind Al Nassr in third place.
