Ghislaine Maxwell Photographed Jogging in Prison as She Prepares for Appeal

Socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, currently serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking, was photographed jogging on the track at the federal prison in Florida where she is incarcerated. Maxwell, 62, was convicted in 2021 of recruiting and grooming young women to be sexually assaulted by Jeffrey Epstein.

The marathon race at the Federal Correctional Institution of Tallahassee included 19 inmates who ran 52 times around the prison’s track to cover 13.1 miles. Maxwell's appeals attorney, Arthur Aidala, mentioned that the prison organized the marathon event, stating, "One of the warden’s jobs is to make it livable."

Aidala also shared that besides distance running, Maxwell is practicing yoga and Pilates in jail as she prepares for her appeal on March 12. Despite the challenges of prison life, Aidala noted that Maxwell "looked great," which he attributed to the fact that "their diet in prison is primarily carbohydrates."

Describing the prison conditions, Aidala remarked that the Florida facility is isolated with barbed wire everywhere, creating a quiet and restrictive environment where inmates are acutely aware of their confinement.
