Man Attacked by Pet Dog in Germany, Resulting in loss of his penis

A disturbing incident occurred in Herne, north-west Germany, where a 66-year-old man was attacked by his pet dog, resulting in severe injuries, including the loss of his penis.

The incident came to light when neighbors alerted authorities about a dog's incessant barking coming from the man's home around 2 a.m. Police responded and, upon arriving at the scene, heard pained groans coming from inside the house. They broke down the door and found the man with his dog.

The victim was quickly rushed to the hospital, where he was placed in an artificial coma due to the severity of his injuries. According to reports, neither the man's penis nor any "instrument of the crime" has been recovered from the scene so far. The victim's current health condition prevents him from providing any information about the incident.

Authorities are considering the possibility that the dog was responsible for the man's injuries, as the dog is about the size of a Jack Russell terrier. However, other possibilities, such as a sex accident or a crime, are also being investigated.

The case is being treated as a serious matter, with a murder squad assigned to investigate and gather more information. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward to help clarify the circumstances of the incident.
