Dutch giants Ajax have suffered a setback in their pursuit of Graham Potter. The former Chelsea and Brighton manager was the top target for Ajax, but after talks, Potter has decided not to join the club at this time.
This development comes after earlier reports that Potter could be a leading candidate for the Manchester United managerial position if Erik ten Hag were to depart this summer. Potter's successful tenure at Brighton has put him in a strong position for the Old Trafford job, especially considering his previous collaboration with Dan Ashworth, a target for United as their new Sporting Director.
Potter, 48, has been without a job since leaving Stamford Bridge a year ago. Despite offers from Lyon and the Swedish national team, he seems intent on waiting for the right opportunity before returning to management.
