Elon Musk Accused of Illicit Drug Use, Raising Concerns Among Executives and Board Members

Elon Musk is facing accusations of engaging in illegal drug use, including ecstasy and cocaine, which has become a cause for concern among his executives and board members across his companies, as reported by the Wall Street Journal.

Sources reveal that those close to the billionaire entrepreneur are increasingly worried that his drug consumption may be contributing to his erratic behavior in recent years, raising concerns not only for Musk's personal health but also for the potential consequences for his various businesses, including Tesla and SpaceX.

In response to the allegations, Alex Spiro, an attorney for Musk, stated that the CEO undergoes regular and random drug tests at SpaceX and has consistently passed them. While Musk has been open about his marijuana use and his prescription for ketamine, witnesses claim that he has also used substances such as LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, and psychedelic mushrooms, often at exclusive private parties worldwide where guests are required to sign non-disclosure agreements and surrender their phones to prevent photos.

Incidents reported include Musk taking multiple tabs of acid at a Los Angeles party in 2018, consuming magic mushrooms at an event in Mexico in 2019, and recreationally using ketamine at a Miami house party in 2021 alongside his brother. The Wall Street Journal also notes that Musk allegedly took drugs with Steve Jurvetson, a current SpaceX and former Tesla board member.

Concerns are now growing among those close to Musk, fearing that his extensive drug use could lead to a health crisis or pose a significant risk to his businesses. Former Tesla director Linda Johnson Rice reportedly became increasingly troubled by Musk's behavior and drug use, ultimately choosing not to stand for re-election to the company's board in 2019."
