NAFDAC Issues Warning on Fake Dano Milk Powder in Nigeria

 



The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has issued a warning regarding the widespread sale of fake Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder in various Nigerian states. According to a statement released on January 24, investigations by the TG Arla Dairy Product Enterprise revealed that counterfeit products were openly displayed in the market.


NAFDAC has directed its zonal directors and state coordinators to conduct surveillance and remove the counterfeit Arla Dano 14g full cream Milk Powder from markets across Nigeria. The agency urges caution among distributors, retailers, and consumers, advising them to thoroughly check the authenticity and physical condition of the product. Individuals in possession of the counterfeit milk powder are encouraged to submit it to the nearest NAFDAC office.


If anyone has consumed the fake product or experienced any adverse reactions, immediate medical advice is recommended. The public is urged to report suspicions of the distribution and sale of counterfeit or unsafe packaged food products to the nearest NAFDAC office or contact NAFDAC via phone or email.


Consumers are also advised to report any adverse events or side effects related to the consumption of unwholesome packaged food products through NAFDAC's reporting platforms available on their website or the Med-safety application for Android and IOS devices.
