Vince McMahon, the legendary figure behind WWE, has resigned as the Executive Chairman of TKO, the company that owns WWE.
This move comes in the wake of a lawsuit filed by a former WWE staffer, Janel Grant, accusing McMahon of multiple instances of sexual assault. McMahon, 78, denied the allegations but decided to step down for the sake of WWE and its stakeholders.
The lawsuit, filed in Connecticut, details disturbing accusations, including McMahon allegedly defecating on Grant during a 2020 encounter. McMahon, vehemently denying the claims, called the lawsuit a "vindictive distortion of the truth."
