Jamal Murray's Buzzer-Beater Lifts Nuggets Over Lakers, Takes 2-0 Series Lead

Jamal Murray hit a buzzer-beater as the Denver Nuggets overcame a 20-point deficit to stun the Los Angeles Lakers 101-99, taking a commanding 2-0 series lead on Monday night at Ball Arena.

The Lakers led for most of the game, including by 20 points early in the third quarter. However, the defending champions rallied to cut the lead to 10 points entering the fourth quarter.

Both teams traded baskets until LeBron James missed a crucial three-pointer with 16 seconds remaining, setting the stage for Murray's heroics.

Anthony Davis led the Lakers with a game-high 32 points and 11 rebounds, playing with determination after not being selected as a finalist for the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Despite Davis’ performance, Nikola Jokic stood out, finishing with a triple-double of 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists.

D’Angelo Russell, who struggled in Game 1, redeemed himself in Game 2 with 23 points, including a 6-for-6 start from beyond the arc.

The Nuggets' win marks their 10th consecutive victory over the Lakers and sixth straight in the playoffs, dating back to last May's Western Conference Finals.

The series now shifts to Los Angeles, with the Nuggets holding a clear mental advantage over the Lakers.
