Two men, Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, have initiated a class action against singer Madonna and concert organizer Live Nation, alleging significant damages due to concerts starting hours behind schedule.
The plaintiffs claim that the delays amount to false advertising, negligent misrepresentation, and unfair trade practices. They are seeking unspecified damages for three nights of late starts at Barclays Center in December, citing Madonna's documented history of tardiness.
While acknowledging a health issue that delayed the concert from July to December, the plaintiffs argue it doesn't justify the two-hour delays on show nights, where ticket prices ranged from $155.90 to $292.50.
