Dwayne Johnson, popularly known as "The Rock," has been appointed to the board of directors for TKO, the company that now owns WWE and UFC.
As part of the deal, he will have exclusive rights to his stage name 'The Rock' and receive stock options valued at $30 million. The agreement allows Johnson to capitalize on his moniker, particularly in terms of merchandising/royalties generated by the WWE using 'The Rock.'
Additionally, TKO gains an exclusive 10-year licensing deal for certain products under 'The Rock' brand, preventing Johnson from licensing it to competing companies during that period.
