Rapper YFN Lucci Pleads Guilty to Street Gang Act Violation

American rapper YFN Lucci, born Rayshawn Bennett, has pleaded guilty to one count of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act in connection to his racketeering case.

Lucci received a 20-year sentence, with 10 years to be served in custody and the remaining on probation. Prosecutors recommended this sentence, and Lucci, who surrendered in January 2021, will receive credit for time served.

The rapper expressed remorse to the victim's family, his own family, friends, and the courtroom before receiving the sentence.

Lucci was among twelve suspects implicated in a 75-page racketeering indictment focused on Bloods gang sets in May 2021. Last June, he rejected a plea deal with a 20-year sentence and 17 years served in prison.
